At about 10. Interested in driving the Boostang and the ST. And oddly enough, the F150. I really want to see if the Ecoboost V6 lives up to all the “feels like a V8” hype.

I’ll bet Ford tried to muffle the hell out of the V8 for the F-150.

Just driven the 2.3-litre Ecoboost Mustang, and I really liked it. Honestly, a V8 isn’t practical as an engine due to tax laws here in the UK and although the Ecoboost isn’t perfect, I’m a still fan.

Who the hell said it feels like a V8?? I drove the ecoboost mustang, no one in their right mind would ever say such rubbish.

I was referring to the F150, not the Boostang.

The 3.5 egoboost is one of the best engines Ford has ever made. It drives waaaay better than any of the V8s they use in the trucks. MPG? Thats another story.

Oh. I still say it shouldn’t feel like a V8. Even my not really into cars mother would be able to tell the difference.

You can get decent fuel economy from them when driving them gently...

Yeah but then the turbos are just there as conversation pieces. The tires on a Corvette will last 40k.... If you keep the throttle under 25%

Just look at how CAGS works.
You can get good fuel consumption if a particular algorithm is followed during testing.

CAGs was a sneaky way to sneak by the epa haha. I removed it on all the cars Ive owned with it.
If Ford offered an “Eco mode” those numbers would be more realistic. Reduce boost, throttle response, lower the rev limiter, etc.

How was it? I may be going to the one in Philly next weekend

It was fun! The short autocross in the Boostang is really fun (but really short). The ST “Reaction Time Challenge” is also fun. You can also test drive a Transit Connect, Fusion Hybrid, Focus, and an Edge with self-parking.

It sounds like a good time! Too bad I did get scheduled for work so I can’t go now :(
